Transforming School Climates
Empowering Our Communities Through Collaboration
The Help Coalition Inc., in partnership with the Office of Justice Programs, is dedicated to advancing efforts that promote civil rights and racial equity, enhance access to justice, support crime victims and individuals affected by the justice system, improve community safety, protect the public from crime and emerging threats, and foster trust between law enforcement and the communities they serve.
Through the SAVE initiative, The Help Coalition Inc. aims to enhance school safety by providing training to improve school climate. This includes setting up teams to assess student behavior for signs of potential violence, utilizing technology such as anonymous reporting tools to enhance safety, and employing other methods to prevent violence and foster a safe learning environment.
STOP School Violence Grant Program: Empowering Safe and Positive Learning Environments
The Bureau of Justice Assistance's (BJA) Students, Teachers, and Officers Preventing (STOP) School Violence Grant Program aims to improve safety in K-12 schools by offering students and teachers the tools they need to recognize, respond to, and prevent violence, in addition to promoting a positive and supportive atmosphere at school.

Strategic Objectives
Our mission is to enhance school safety through a multifaceted approach. We develop and implement cutting-edge technology solutions to improve security and prevention efforts. We establish multidisciplinary Behavioral Threat Assessment (BTA) and intervention teams to identify and address potential risks effectively. We provide comprehensive training for school staff and educate students on violence prevention strategies while promoting a positive and inclusive school climate. Additionally, we offer specialized training and policies for law enforcement personnel, such as school resource officers (SROs) and probation officers, to equip them with the tools needed to work effectively with schools and school-age populations.
School Safety & Awareness Training
We provide a diverse range of evidence-based training programs designed to equip educators, administrators, and students with the skills and knowledge necessary to enhance school safety and promote a positive, inclusive learning environment. Our specialized modules include:
Trauma-Informed Care
An approach that recognizes and responds to the widespread impact of trauma on a student's ability to learn and interact with others.
Student Rights
This training provides a clear and practical overview of the civil and constitutional rights of students.
Bully Prevention
Our program moves beyond simple awareness to provide proactive strategies for creating a school climate where bullying is not tolerated. We equip staff and students to identify, address, and prevent bullying in all its forms, including relational aggression and online harassment.
Drug and Alcohol Education
This training provides a modern, fact-based approach to substance abuse prevention. For students, we focus on developing critical thinking and sound decision-making skills by providing accurate information about the risks of drug and alcohol use.
Social Media Use
This training teaches students the core principles of responsible digital citizenship, including protecting their privacy, managing their digital footprint, and identifying online risks.
We also provide resources for educators and parents to help them guide students in navigating the complexities of social media safely and responsibly.
Emergency Management and CPTED
This training is two-fold: Emergency Management focuses on developing and drilling comprehensive, all-hazards emergency plans.
CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) teaches how to use architectural and landscape design to deter crime and enhance the physical security of your school buildings and grounds.

Our Comprehensive Training
Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management
This training, which is our cornerstone preventative program, creates a proactive, interdisciplinary team within your school to identify, assess, and manage possible violent threats. Early intervention is the primary goal. We train your team to spot troubling behaviors and wrap supportive services around students in distress, reducing risk well before a crisis develops and assuring a process focused on assistance rather than punishment.
Active Shooter Emergency Response
While prevention is the primary goal, preparedness is also critical. This program teaches participants how to respond effectively in the case of an active shooter emergency using age-appropriate, evidence-based instruction. Following federal criteria, our curriculum provides staff and kids with clear, concrete options—such as Run, Hide, Fight—to boost confidence and enhance results in a worst-case situation, all while collaborating with local law enforcement processes.

We Don't Just See the Problems. We Build the Solutions.
The Help Coalition Design
THC has designed awareness projects that speak directly to concerns of violence and safety in our school and communities and mental health issues our communities face every day without adequate support and services being provided.
THC has designed a Community Coalition for members from all aspects of life to join in support of spreading awareness and implementing adaptable, effective, and efficient protocols that provide sufficient responses to our community's needs.

Program Objectives
and Deliverables
The program is designed to enhance school safety by implementing evidence-based strategies that prevent violence against students, staff, and schools while creating a positive and supportive school climate.
DELIVERABLES
Comprehensive Training: Provide training to school and law enforcement personnel on conducting behavioral threat assessments, identifying potential risks, and improving school climate. Training will be nondiscriminatory, trauma-informed, and focused on fostering a safe and inclusive environment without creating additional fear or harm.
Mental Health Resources: Provide trauma-informed strategies to address students in mental health crises. These strategies will protect student privacy and involve mental health professionals at every stage of training and implementation.
Technological Solutions: Offer tools like anonymous reporting systems (mobile apps, hotlines, or websites) to enable students, staff, and community members to report threats confidentially. These solutions will align with existing systems, protect privacy, and ensure inclusivity without discrimination.
School Safety Strategies: Introduce measures to prevent violence, including firearm-related incidents, while improving access to behavioral health services, social-emotional learning programs, and other interventions that promote a healthy school climate.
Law Enforcement Training: Provide specialized training for school-based law enforcement and probation officers to ensure they can respond effectively to the unique needs of school populations.
Staffing Support: Ensure the availability of dedicated personnel to support the prevention of school violence and the successful implementation of the program.
Your Voice, Our Action:
The Purpose of Our Forms
In any school or community, many of the most critical safety concerns—from bullying and harassment to signs of deep personal distress—often go unspoken. Fear of retaliation, uncertainty about who to tell, or the feeling that nothing will be done can create a culture of silence where problems are allowed to grow.
Our reporting forms are designed to break that silence. By providing a secure and completely anonymous channel, we empower every student, parent, and community member to share what they see without fear. Anonymity is not just a feature; it is the foundation of a system built on trust, ensuring your privacy is protected so you can speak up for yourself and for others.
Each submission is more than just information—it is a catalyst for proactive intervention. Every report is reviewed promptly by trained professionals who assess the situation, connect the dots, and help us identify patterns of concerning behavior. This process allows our teams to intervene early with supportive resources for individuals in distress and prevent potential crises before they occur.
Your report can be the crucial first step that activates a system of support. By using these forms, you are not just reporting an incident; you are helping to create a safer future for our entire community.

SAVE Forms
Every form in this section is made for fully anonymous reporting. We don't ask for your name or contact details, so you can share information confidently and safely.
